WUWHS is the premier wound care professional association and it represents more than 90% of all practicing wound care specialists in the world. The Association encourages a global approach to education, research and healthcare delivery to achieve optimal outcomes for patients with acute and chronic wounds.
The WUWHS Congress takes place every four years and attracts a large number of participants from all over the world to discuss the most important topics and advances in wound care. It started in Melbourne in 2000 with its most recent edition taking place in Florence, the first rotation in the Middle East took place in March 2022 with the support of the local organising partner Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA).

SEHA, a long-standing client of Capital 360 Event Experiences appointed them with a broad remit for brand and event delivery for WUWUHS 2022 in 2017. They had responsibility for full concept, brand experience & content creation, production management, project management & delivery, AV production and delivery as well as overall floorplan management & layout design.
The event was postponed just prior to the pandemic and took place as a hybrid event due to the post-pandemic nature of the timing and to ensure as much participation as possible globally. Taking place over 4 halls, Conference A &B as well as the iconic atrium space the event comprised of exhibition space for 80 exhibitors, a main plenary seating 3,000 and ran across 6 concurrent streams. The intensive five-day programme included more than 100 stimulating sessions held by an international expert faculty coming from more than 50 different countries
WUWUHS 2022 welcomed over 10,000 guests and broadcasted to over 1,000 people worldwide, giving WUWHS the highest overall attendance ever.
