The 2022 edition of the World Union of Wholesale Markets Conference (WUWM), took place for the first time in the middle east in October 2022 and was hosted by AD Ports Group.
​
The World Union of Wholesale Markets (WUWM) is a non-profit world-leading international organization of the fresh food sector. With 220 members located in 40 countries and 5 continents, their goal is to ensure that people around the world have easy access to high-quality, healthy diets through a sustainable and safe food system.
​
WUWM Abu Dhabi 2022 brought together high level public and private sector practitioners and experts from around the world in productive dialogue around these key risks and challenges with the aim of finding bold solutions, to ensure resilient and sustainable fresh food supply chains at international, regional and local level and to establish innovative mechanisms to ensure food security.

AD Ports Group as hosting partner engaged Capital 360 to deliver the event end-to-end. The scope of work for Capital 360 included project management of the entire event from concept and creative direction, design, build and production, exhibition management, marketing and promotion services as well as speaker management.
In addition to this, Capital 360 Event Experiences managed registration services, staffing and volunteers as well as translation services. They were also tasked with managing the speaker experience and organised accommodation and transportation for speakers via fellow ADNEC Group subsidiary, Capital Experience (destination management company). Speaker experiences included a city tour of Abu Dhabi and a desert safari.

The two-day event featured a packed programme of 50 speakers including high level speakers such as H.E. Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, UAE, H.E. Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Mr. QU Dongyu, Director-General, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and Maimunah Mohd Sharif, Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director, UN-HABITAT Topics covered sustainability, supply chain, logistics

More than 500 public and private sector leaders and global experts including high-level stakeholders from 52 countries attended WUWM Abu Dhabi.
​
The event was a success and the organisers were pleased with the event management by Capital 360.
